The story behind Petit Billy is one of a crazy gamble, a story about setting up goat farms in Brittany to encourage short circuits and develop the local economy.

The story begins in 1982 in Billy,

a small village in the Loir-et-Cher region of France, where the emblematic Petit Billy came into being. In 1986, after working closely with farmers, Petit Billy fresh goat’s cheese was produced for the first time in Noyal-sur-Vilaine in Brittany, using milk from local farmers and was carefully moulded by hand.

And today

our Petit Billy cheese has preserved all this cheese-making know-how to offer a fresh goat’s cheese that is as naturally mild as ever, with a unique texture and a great fresh taste, made from goat’s milk collected as close as possible to the cheese dairy, which works in close partnership with 21 farmers.
